TANNER, DINGELL, ROSS STATEMENT ON
SECOND AMENDMENT ENFORCEMENT ACT

U.S. Reps. John Tanner (D-TN), John Dingell (D-MI) and Mike Ross (D-AR) today released the following statement on legislation extending 2nd Amendment rights to residents in the District of Columbia:

“We have an agreement with House leadership to have a vote on the provisions included in H.R. 6691 in early September, giving us the opportunity to implement legislation required to ensure that the District of Columbia’s gun laws are in compliance with the Supreme Court’s decision in District of Columbia v. Heller.”

H.R. 6691 was filed Thursday, July 31, by U.S. Rep. Travis Childers and a group of bipartisan co-sponsors.
