Project description:

 The TPTA oversees the transportation systems for human resource agencies operating throughout the rural areas of Tennessee, and these agencies are authorized, and have previously received, such funding as provided in the transportation authorization bill. The transportation program provides rides to and from doctor’s appointments for indigent, elderly and sick citizens in rural areas who do not have access to public transportation systems like subways and cabs as in urban areas. This is the only means of transportation for many rural citizens.
