Internships
A congressional internship is an excellent way to experience and gain knowledge of the legislative-making process. Internships are available in both the Wichita and Washington offices.
Washington
An intern's duties within Representative Tiahrt's office would mainly consist
of performing basic research projects, answering phones, processing mail, working
on special projects, entering data, giving U.S. Capitol tours and performing
other office errands.
All interns are encouraged to gain as much political experience on Capitol Hill as possible. Interns get to work in a structured environment while having the freedom to explore personal areas of interest such as attending congressional committee meetings, hearings, lectures and seminars.
Living and working in Washington, D.C., is a unique experience. With the history and beauty of our Nation's Capitol at your doorstep, opportunities for growth are endless.

Wichita
Todd's Wichita office also offers students a chance to obain experience in a
congressional office, but with the convenience of living in the Fourth Congressional
District. The responsibilities for Wichita interns are similar to those of DC
interns. Responsibilites include answering the phone, processing mail, working
on special projects, entering data and performing other office errands.
