June 29, 2009 – WNDU NBC 16 – Fred joins Tricia Sloma to chat about the new “Cash for Clunkers” bill to get Michigan’s economy moving again. They also discussed the cap-and-tax bill that threatens to kill jobs and raise utility bills. Consumers Energy (CMS) SW Michigan predicts hefty rate increases in excess of 38 percent for families in order to comply with cap-and-tax. Fred supports an “all of the above” approach to reducing emissions, with an emphasis on renewable sources of energy like wind and solar, as well as nuclear power.

 


June 29, 2009 – WSBT CBS 22 - Fred and Kirk Mason discuss the perils of cap-and-tax legislation that is predicted to raise utility bills and send jobs overseas. Fred supports an “all of the above” approach to reducing emissions, including wind & solar, clean coal technologies and nuclear power. Fred believes that we can simultaneously preserve the environment and the economy.
