FCC Chairman Kennard's Speech Regarding No Government Charges for the Internet	Federal Communications Commission (FCC) Chairman William Kennard delivered this speech to the National Association of Regulatory Utility Commissioners in 1998. In it, he reiterates the fact that the FCC is not considering imposing charges on Internet providers.
Bulletproof Vest Partnership Program	Established by a 1998 bill that I authored, the Bulletproof Vest Partnership Grant Act, this website allows local police departments around the nation to order bulletproof vests and apply for federal grants to cover half of the costs of the vests.
Illiana Residents Against Toxio-Carcinogenic Emissions (IRATE)	Established by Kate Burns and Gwen Pearson, this Northwest Indiana organization works to compile a registry of pediatric cancers in Northwest Indiana and Northeast Illinois. The registry will be used to establish cancer trends and help determine if there is a link between pediatric cancer clusters and toxic emissions.
Hoaxbusters	Like you, I am concerned about the number of hoaxes that exist.  This site is offered by the Department of Energy, and it sets the record straight about these false email messages.  In addition to describing hoaxes and chain letters found on the Internet, this site discusses how to recognize hoaxes and what to do about them.
