WALSH ANNOUNCES THE START OF IRONDEQUOIT BAY DREDGING PROJECT

(Rochester, N.Y.)- Congressman Jim Walsh announced today that the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Buffalo District, is scheduled to dredge the Irondequoit Bay Outlet by contract later this week.  Approximately 20,000 cubic yards of material will be removed from the outlet and placed off shore of nearby Oklahoma Beach in Webster.  Working around the clock at a rate of approximately 5,000 cubic yards per day, the project should be completed within a week. ... view more
