TVA LOOKS FOR NEW HIRES TO REPLACE RETIRING
December 1 – Supporters of nuclear power insist more reactors are needed to meet the growing demand for electricity without the greenhouse gases from coal or gas-fired power plants that add to global warming. “As the Obama administration prepares to take office, a central question is whether or not we are going to advance nuclear power,” said Rep. Zach Wamp. “I’ll tell you, if we do advance nuclear, it will dramatically help our region become more resilient during a down economic time.”
