Congressmen Support Sanctions

Iran’s nuclear advancement is one of the most serious security threats to the United States and the world. Rep. Zach Wamp and Republican Policy Committee Chairman Adam Putman met with United Nations Ambassador John Bolton in New York to discuss a Sense of Congress resolution calling for sanctions against the rogue nation. Iran recently announced it is prepared to share its nuclear technology with other countries.

The congressmen met with British, French and German diplomats who serve as permanent members of the Security
Council. In a later meeting they heard the views of ambassadors from Middle Eastern nations who oppose any expansion of nuclear weapons in the region. The U.N. Ambassadors from Egypt and Kuwait as well a United Arab Emirates diplomat met in a conference room outside the Security Council during a called morning session.
