Speaker Ryan's remarks on the House Floor
House Speaker Paul Ryan called for unity following a shooting that injured Majority Whip Steven Scalise, two United States Capitol Police officers and a congressional staffer on June 14, 2017.
During his remarks on the House Floor, Speaker Ryan said, "For all the noise and fury, we are a family, and here in Congress, we are resolved to come together and show the country-and the world-that we are united."
